Narcos? A violent history? Somewhere everyone warns you not to go? Colombia has been painted by the media is a negative light due to its history, but really not everything you see or read about is true.
I spent 3 magical weeks studying Spanish and travelling Colombia. It is one of those countries that has given me so much and one I look back on going “god I miss Colombia”. It brought me so much hope and optimism that positive change is possible, as it is a nation that has rapidly changed from a very violent country to the magical place it is now.
